FAQ

How do I keep being reminded about a timer that finished?

In Settings, set Remind Me For Up To to how long you want to hear about it. After a timer finishes, reminders arrive after 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 30 and 60 minutes, up to that limit, until you restart, snooze, pause, or put the timer away.

Why didn't I hear a timer go off?

Check that notifications for ABTimers are turned on in the iPhone Settings app. If a Focus was on, allow ABTimers' Time Sensitive alerts for that Focus. Alerts that land during one of your Quiet Times appear without a sound, by design.

How do I set a timer for an odd amount of time, like 25 × 5 minutes?

Tap + and type the sum into the calculator. Choose seconds, minutes, or hours, then tap Start. In Edit Timer, the calculator button next to the name does the same for a timer that's already running.

How do I move my timers to a new phone or iPad?

In Settings, tap Share Timers and send the backup to your other device, using AirDrop, Messages, Mail, or Files. Open the file there and ABTimers offers to restore it. Restoring replaces the timers, groups, and quiet times already on that device.

Some features from version 1 are missing.

ABTimers 2.0 was rebuilt from scratch. Speaking timer names, auto-looping timers, and iCloud sync aren't in this version. If you miss one, tell us at suggestions@abtimers.com. It helps us decide what comes back first.

I have an idea for a new feature. Can you add it?

We love new feature ideas. Send your idea to suggestions@abtimers.com and we will try to figure out if we can.
